It’s no secret we pilots have gone techno-geek, states James Lauerman, president of Avemco Insurance Co. in his latest President’s Blog on the company website. “Just look at the moving maps, electronic flight bags, and flat-screen displays. Even Piper Cub-clone light-sport and open-cockpit airplanes feature full IFR glass-panel instruments. But is all this technology making us safer?
