Take the controls of a warbird

By Janice Wood · April 7, 2011 ·

Join the Flight Crew Training Program with Canadian Warplane Heritage and Jet Aircraft Museum during the Canadian Aviation Expo and you could be at the controls of a T-33 Jet, Harvard Trainer, Beech 18 or B25 Bomber.

Organizers promise that one trainee from each ground school will fly, but space is limited to 30 trainees per ground school class and you must pre-register to get your spot.

The 19th Annual Canadian aviation expo is Canada’s largest indoor aviation trade and consumer show. Virtually every aspect of aviation is represented, including ultralights, parasails, kit planes, avionics, flight schools, warbirds, maintenance shops, certified aircraft, government agencies and flying clubs.

The 2011 Expo takes place at The Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum at The John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport on Saturday, April 30, 9am-5pm, and Sunday, May, 9am-5pm.
