IMC Club releases Android app for CFIs

By Janice Wood · April 20, 2011 ·

IMC Club International has released a new Android application exclusively design for flight instructors and CFI students. The application, soon to be available for the iPhone, is designed to help CFIs to navigate through complex endorsements and FAA regulations with ease, according to developers.

It helps to ensure that students comply with all the required FAA regulations and have all appropriate endorsements. The application, called CFI Helper, can also be used as a training aid for CFI training. CFI Helper covers endorsements and regulations from student pilot to a commercial student.

The app’s price is $4.95 and will support IMC Club funding. The IMC Club is a membership based non-profit organization focused on instrument rated pilots and flight instructors, with a network of chapters throughout the nation. CFI Helper is downloadable from IMCClubs.com/mobile as well as the Android Market. An iPhone version will be available in a few days through the iTunes store. An iPad version is under development and is planned to be released soon.
