The 19th annual Canadian Aviation Expo is slated for April 30-May 1 at the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum at Hamilton Munroe International Airport.
The Expo will boast more than 100 aviation exhibits inside the hangar and hundreds of aircraft on the ramp, according to officials. “Combine this with Canada’s largest collection of flying vintage aircraft, Canadian Forces aircraft including the Hawk CT155 fighter jet, attendees will experience Canada’s largest display of military, general aviation, business and historic aircraft, all in one location,” officials said.
The Canadian Forces Parachute Team, The Skyhawks, will perform each day at 11 a.m.
There will be lots for the kids to see and do at the flight education feature, The Magic of Flight, officials added.
To celebrate the 100th anniversary of licensed women in flight, Canadian pilot Lesley Page will present a seminar each day on Becoming a Female Pilot. She will also be on the ramp with her aircraft to talk to people during the show.
Attendees also can experience flying first hand while at the show in one of the museum’s vintage aircraft, a helicopter or one of the many fixed wing aircraft available.
The Expo will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Admissions: Adults $15, Seniors $12, Youth (6-17) $12, Children under 5 free and the one admission price gets you into the Expo and the museum.
