Hawker Beechcraft wraps up Jet Operators Conference

By Janice Wood · May 17, 2011 ·

Hawker Beechcraft Global Customer Support (GCS) recently concluded its 2011 Jet Operators Conference in Little Rock, Ark., where it hosted more than 100 owners and operators.

This year’s theme was Safety of Operations, which included technical overviews and special presentations on thunderstorm avoidance using NEXRAD radar, WAAS/LPV and travel fatigue. Conference attendees also participated in technical and new product briefings from Hawker Beechcraft and its equipment suppliers to learn the latest in safety, performance and care for their aircraft, according to company officials.

During the conference, customers heard from current Hawker Beechcraft owners NASCAR driver Clint Bowyer, CEO of NASCAR’s Roush Fenway Racing Jack Roush, NASA Astronaut and U.S. Naval Aviator Hoot Gibson, and US Air Force Colonel (RET) John Cromwell, director of quality at the FlightSafety International Hawker Beechcraft Maintenance Learning Center in Wichita.

Hawker Beechcraft also met with its Customer Advisory Board, a group created to generate productive dialogue to guide the company’s new product development and aftermarket programs. The board is comprised of a variety of HBC customers and non-customers, including corporate, fleet and owner operators, who have operational experience and a commitment to improving the performance and operations of their aircraft.
