New Sun ’n Fun poster harkens back to the old days

By Janice Wood · July 26, 2011 ·

The annual Sun ’n Fun poster has become a collector’s item and next year’s will be no exception, according to an article in the  Lakeland Ledger, which notes that Creative Service Director Melissa Rankin designed next year’s poster with a nod towards Florida’s long citrus heritage in the form of an old-fashioned “Sun ‘n Fun Brand” orange crate label.

The square poster features Walt Pierce’s Stearman biplane, “Ol’ Smokey.” The posters will be for sale at next week’s AirVenture. You can also pick one up at the fly-in’s office at Lakeland-Linder Regional Airport.
