PilotMall.com now has a retail store open every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the SUN ‘n FUN Campus on the Lakeland-Linder Regional Airport (LAL) in Lakeland, Fla.
The store has more than 1,000 aviation-related items in stock. The shop held its grand opening April 27, and is open on Saturdays only, featuring a free lunch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
“We wanted a place where aviators and plane enthusiasts can get together, shop, swap tales, have fun and meet like-minded people,” said Neil Glazer, founder of PilotMall.com. “Everyone has such a nice time at the SUN ‘n FUN International Fly-In and Expo every spring that we wanted to keep a bit of the spirit going throughout the year. It’s a fitting addition to the site for locals and people looking for a place to stop on a day trip.”
The PilotMall.com SUN ‘n FUN Campus store offers a variety of items, from practical supplies to gifts for the pilot and aviation enthusiast. It is the second Florida location opened by PilotMall.com, an online store where shoppers can find items related to aircraft for use in flight and on the ground. The shop also sells SUN ‘n FUN T-shirts and other merchandise to commemorate the annual event.
“Following the idea of our online store, we carry specialty items that pilots can use to make their flight experience safer and more enjoyable,” said Glazer.
