Radio-controlled model aviation exhibit at Museum of Flight

By Janice Wood · October 30, 2012 ·

SEATTLE — On Nov. 4, the Marymoor Radio Control Club presents an exhibition of flyable RC aircraft at The Museum of Flight.

Club members will be on hand to answer questions about their models and the sport of competition RC flying.

Examples of aircraft models include simple trainers, sport flyers, and high speed jets. The scale models display astonishing detail, with flight characteristics that are often miniature versions of the real planes. The exhibit is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is free with admission to the museum.

The Marymoor Radio Control Club (MAR/C) promotes the hobby/sport of radio controlled model airplane flying. MAR/C manages and maintains the model airfield in Marymoor Park in accordance with a Use Agreement with King County Parks Division. Flight training and special events are held at the model airfield during the summer. For more info about the Marymoor Radio Control Club: Mar-c.org
