Wausau mayor declares ‘General Aviation Appreciation Month’

Mayor James Tipple of Wausau, Wisconsin, has proclaimed August “General Aviation Appreciation Month.” In Wisconsin, general aviation contributes over $694 million annually to the state’s economy. To view the proclamation, click here.

    Glad for the appreciation. How about helping us by some influence to getting rid of the third class medical. Otherwise maybe we’ll just go to Sun-N-Fun next year and not go to Wisconsin. Just how important was that 694 million? The third class medical is costing us a fortune.

    I’m Glad to see that General Aviation is finally getting some appreciation. Most politicians have no clue the depth of general aviation’s impact on the economy.
