KISSIMMEE, Fla. — Officials at Kissimmee Gateway Airport (ISM) say they are expecting increased flight activity during the week of Oct. 19-24, in association with the National Business Aviation Association Convention.
The convention is held every other year at the Orlando-Orange County Convention Center, and has the highest economic impact of any recurring convention in Orlando. Since Kissimmee Gateway Airport is closest to the Convention Center, many attendees and exhibitors chose to operate out of the airport during the show.
Peak traffic is expected on Sunday and Monday (Oct. 19 and 20) and Thursday and Friday (Oct. 23 and 24), however daily traffic will be at a higher than normal tempo throughout the week, officials said.
