American Aero donates $10,000 to Navy Seal Foundation

By General Aviation News Staff · October 27, 2014 ·

FORT WORTH, Texas – American Aero FTW, an FBO at Meacham International Airport in Fort Worth, Texas, presented a $10,000 donation to the Navy SEAL Foundation at the National Business Aviation Association Convention & Exhibition in Orlando. The Navy SEAL Foundation provides support to soldiers and veterans during times of illness, injury and loss.

American Aero FTW General Manager Riggs Brown said the donation is part of the FBO’s ongoing support for the Navy SEAL Foundation and other charitable organizations. In 2013, American Aero FTW launched a new program, “Red, White and Blue,” that enables customers to contribute 10 cents from every gallon of fuel purchased to the Navy SEAL Foundation.

Brown added that 25% of the American Aero FTW employee base is made up of current or retired military personnel.

“The generosity of American Aero’s leadership and its clientele is a sure sign of their commitment and dedication to our nation’s elite warriors and to their families,” said Robin King, CEO of the Navy SEAL Foundation. “To have a business like American Aero choose to seek out the Foundation to support it financially, promote it to its customer base, and recognize us during the NBAA convention is truly an honor. We look forward to a long-lasting relationship.”

King said the Navy SEAL Foundation is committed to the well-being of the U.S. Navy SEAL community and its families and aligns itself with patriotic businesses that demonstrate equal integrity and concern for that unique warrior community.

“American Aero embodies this commitment,” King said. “We are grateful to American Aero FTW’s leadership and the entire American Aero team.”
