On Thursday, Nov. 20, the Friends of the Granby Airport will unveil the Granby Airport Pioneers Wall of Fame at Granby Grand County Airport (GNB) in Colorado.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held inside the former airline terminal at 4 p.m. The public is invited to attend.
The Granby Airport Pioneers Hall of Fame recognizes volunteers who helped build and preserve the Granby Airport from its earliest days in 1945 through 1990.
On July 30, 2013, the Friends of the Granby Airport announced plans for the Wall of Fame to its members, to Experimental Aviation Chapter 1267, to local members of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, to the Grand County Board of Commissioners, and to the general public. A request was made for nominations. The friends, heirs, and relatives of the laureates responded with photographs and memoranda.
