I have been a CFI for almost 50 years, I was trained at 2 local airports by a fabulous group of dedicated airmen, not at one of the big, overpriced, CFI mills where CFIs learn nothing. My students can do balked landings and go arounds, with their eyes closed, before they can solo. These new CFIs, from the CFI mills not only cannot perform these and many other maneuvers, they are incapable of teaching them.
