All youth will be admitted to the 12th annual U.S. Sport Aviation Expo for free on Saturday, Jan. 23, 2016.
“The Expo is excited to offer the opportunity for all youth ages 11-17 to attend the Expo on Saturday for free,” said Expo Director Jana Filip. “We think attending the Expo is a great way to expose the next generation to flying.”
Youth must be accompanied by an adult. Children 10 and under are admitted free every day of the event, which runs from Jan. 20-23.
In conjunction with the free day for youth, the Flying Musicians Association’s (FMA) first Solo Scholarship winner, Drew Medina of Vero Beach, Florida, will attend the Expo on Saturday and speak at noon in the Aviators Hot Line Show Center Tent about his experience of learning to fly and his first solo.
He’ll also perform with the FMA.
“We especially invite students with an interest in music and aviation to stop by the Show Center Tent and visit with our FMA members,” said FMA President John Zapp.
