Picture of the day: Passing on the aviation bug

By General Aviation News Staff · July 13, 2016 ·

Daniel Brian sent in this photo with a short note: “Here’s a photo of my son and I taking advantage of a perfect evening in our 1946 J-3. Doing my best to pass along the aviation ‘bug’ like my dad did for me. By the way, this is using a flightflix strut mount and GoPro.”

I always take kids flying. It’s how I got my “air legs” as a child, and what pilots did for me, I just pass it on – the circle of flight, in one endless loop!!

    You got me!

After reading the article, I don’t know why, I expected to see your son in the front seat around 16 or so. I was surprised to see a young boy!

You started my day with a smile! Thanks.

You are bonding and making lots of great memories with that lad. I wish I could have done that with my sons.
