Growth drives move for Momentum Aeronautics

By General Aviation News Staff · May 20, 2020 ·

Momentum Aeronautics has moved to a new 9,000-square-foot engineering, manufacturing, and modification facility at the Saint Paul Downtown Airport (KSTP) in Saint Paul, Minnesota.

The new hangar features engineering and inspection offices, complimented by a 32,000-square-foot hangar and customer meeting space.

Momentum’s move across the airport was necessitated by growth in its engineering and modification divisions, according to company officials. The additional space — up from 4,000 square feet of office space and 20,000 square feet of hangar space — support expanded staff and new products from the company’s modification group.

“Our engineering and modifications teams have been working hard on a number of important projects and we have expanded considerably over the last year to meet customer demand,” said Kyle Taylor, Chief Engineer. “We needed a space to inspire our team and provide a foundation for further company growth. Our employees are of paramount importance at Momentum, and we wanted to give them the elbow room they deserve, yielding the most creative and effective engineering solutions for our customers.”

Momentum will continue to maintain its facility at nearby Lake Elmo Airport (21D) where the company builds prototypes, and conducts testing on a large landing gear drop and static test rigs.

Momentum Aeronautics is an aircraft engineering company specializing in aeronautical product certification, including STCs, repairs, alterations, and airworthiness.
