ROMEOVILLE, Illinois — Lewis University and Inha Aviation College in Incheon, South Korea, have entered into an agreement for Inha students to complete their studies in the United States.
The students, who will begin their studies in South Korea, can earn an Aviation Maintenance Technology Associate Degree or an Aviation Maintenance Certificate, according to Lewis University officials.
The agreement is the latest in initiatives by Lewis University to address the global demand for maintenance technicians. Boeing’s Pilot and Technician Outlook 2021–2040 estimated that 626,000 new maintenance technicians are needed to maintain the global commercial fleet over the next 20 years.
