2021 saw the rebound of the helicopter industry from the woeful pandemic days.
Turbine helicopter sales plummeted 16.9% in 2020 and piston helicopter sales did even worse, with a 20.7% drop.
But that all turned around in 2021, with piston helicopter increasing 27.5% in 2021 to 181, while turbine helicopter deliveries increased 24.8% to 645. The value of helicopter deliveries for 2021 was $3.7 billion, an increase of approximately 28%, according to the latest figures from the General Aviation Manufacturers Association.
