Houston to host 2023 FlightSimExpo

By General Aviation News Staff · September 26, 2022 ·

One of the world’s largest flight simulation events, FlightSimExpo, lands in Houston on June 23-25, 2023.

Held across two locations near Houston’s Hobby Airport (KHOU), the 2023 event will offer flight simulation fans the chance to interact with developers, try out the latest hardware, hear the latest developments, and meet fellow sim enthusiasts.

As in previous years, event seminars will be livestreamed for online-only attendees to participate from anywhere, according to organizers.

The event kicks off June 23 with a series of seminars and announcements from some of simulation’s biggest developers, according to organizers. A reception and social event will be held later that same day. All of Friday’s activities will be at the DoubleTree Houston Hobby.

On Saturday and Sunday, the event shifts to the Lone Star Flight Museum, which is on Ellington Airport (KEFD), about a 15-minute drive from Hobby Airport. Nestled among warbirds, fighter jets, and drones, attendees will find hands-on flight simulation exhibits where they can try the latest in flight simulation software and hardware. Speaker rooms will feature how-to seminars and educational discussions throughout the weekend, organizers noted.

Admission to the museum is included with FlightSimExpo registration. Attendees will be able to book flight time with a CFI on simulators and purchase rides in the museum’s vintage aircraft throughout the weekend.

Registration opens in December with special pricing: $50 for access to all three days. Learn more about this special pricing, which is available only to members of the Flight Simulation Association, at FlightSimExpo.com/Register.
