Ever been flying along and spotted something that wasn’t of this world — or so you thought?
Now there’s a way to report that.
Enigma Labs, a global platform for unidentified aerospace-undersea phenomena (UAP) sightings, is now accepting submissions from members of the aviation community, including general aviation pilots, flight instructors, students, military aviators, and others.
According to officials with Enigma Labs, an independent, private technology company building “an empirical and reliable network of UAP sightings to support aviators and researchers,” investigative efforts and aviation safety have been “hindered by a lack of coordination and access to quality information.”
Reports are submitted to the labs’ website. You can submit a report using a pseudonym, if you feel more comfortable doing that, officials noted.
Anyone who opts in may be contacted, publicly or pseudonymously, for further communication, officials said.
Enigma Labs officials note they will never pass along personally identifiable information to third parties, including government organizations.
“Unknown phenomena have been witnessed for years, but they have eluded the scrutiny of analytical minds in the absence of publicly-available information and the stigma of coming forward with a formal witness report,” says retired Navy Lt. Commander Alex Dietrich, a veteran combat pilot who witnessed a UAP from her F-16 off the coast of San Diego in 2004.
Dietrich works with Enigma Labs as an advisor in a “collaborative effort to dispel the stigma surrounding UAP discussion and support data gathering,” officials added.
“We recognize the courage necessary to come forward and report an anomalous event,” says Enigma Labs founder Alex Smith. “There has historically been some stigma around this topic, but the tide has dramatically turned towards productive and open dialogue over the last few years.”
Pilots with UAP sightings who are interested in testing the labs’ invite-only mobile app beta can sign up using an email. The company has plans to expand the app to a wider audience at a later date, officials noted.
In 1963 on my first night back from basic training my fiancé and I were in a car just under the crest of a ridge overlooking Sunset Park near Claysville in southwestern Pennsylvania. My friend and neighbor had advised me she had been less than faithful so I was breaking up with her. She was not taking it well and as I staired out the window toward the near horizon, feeling more and more guilty for saying what I had just said a dimly glowing object appeared over it coming our way. It was a clear, warm night with only a very few high, thin clouds visible in a sky full of stars. What was soundlessy approaching resembled an antique child’s top; the kind with a spiral rod protruding from the top you pumped up and down to make the top spin. It was glowing like a dim florescent tube and had no markings, hatches, windows, exhausts or means of propulsion I could decern. It traveled from horizon to horizon, over our car hood about 100 feet up before disapearing accross PA Rt40 just to the left of the last cabin of the old Anton Motel and the hillside on the horizon. It apperard to br traveling around 25-30 mph with the entire sighting lasting around 30 to 35 sec. The windows were down and though the night sounds were audable there wasn’t even the hint of wind noise as this small house sized object passed over the car. While it was overhead I searched through the glovebox for a flashlight to shine on it to get a better idea of it’s distance from us but came up empty. After what ever it was disappeared over the horizon I turned to my unhappy partner and asked her what she saw. I’m sorry to say her reply of “so what” was the last words either of us have ever exchanged although I would love to know what she really remembers from that night.
Hi Dennis,

WHERE DID THIS SIGHTING OCCUR?
WE WERE ON MEADOW STREET IN GARDEN CITY WALKING WEST TOWARD THE MOBIL GAS STATION ON FRANKLIN WHERE THERE WERE TWO PAY PHONES. WE WERE GOIND THERE TO CALL OUR GIRL FREINDS . ( WE DID NOT WANT TO CALL THEM FROM HOME BECAUSE OF A LACK OF PRIVACY ) . WHILE WALKING WEST , I LOOKED UP AND SAW A GROUP OF “STARS” PASSING OVER . WHEN THEY GOT A LITTLE PAST OVERHEAD , THEY MADE A RIGHT ANGLE TURN RIGHT AND HEADED SOUTY AT GREAT SPEED . THE RIGHT ANGLE TURN WAS AS SHARP AS A ‘CARPENTER’S ANCLE” . AFTER THE SIGHTING , WE CONTINUED ON TO THE PAY PHONES AND TRIED TO CALL UP THE AIR FORCE . WE GOT SOMEONE WHO SAID ” SORRY KID , NO FLYING SAUCERS TONIGHT” . OBVIOUSLY , THE MAN WE SPOKE TO DID NOT TAKE US SERROUSLY .

WHAT’S YOUR SIGHTING STORY?
Include details about what you were doing at the time before, during, and after. Consider weather conditions and if any of the following were present: other witnesses, device/hardware data (e.g. cell phone, radar, sensor, infrared, sonar, FLIR).
I”m not a pilot , I was just a kid wakling along a street in Garden City when i and my freind looked up at a cluster of “stars” passing over . They looked identical to stars . They were indivicual things because when they passed the background stars , the stars did not blink out as would have happened if a plane was passing over . They seemed to be very high . I was about 17 or 18 years old at the time . I”m 75 now . Several years after out sighting , i did hear of a possible explanation for the lights . The possible natural explanation could be that a local (weak) earthquake could have crushed some quartz rockss and caused the flurry of light points that we was . However, i still believe they were craft .
Thanks for the oportunity to make this reporting .
All the best ,

WHAT WAS THE BEHAVIOR OF THE UAP?
Tell us in detail about the shape and number of the UAP, how long it lasted, and it’s flight pattern. Provide estimated size and distance.
They made a RIGHT ANGLE turn just after they got a little past directly overhead . Then , the went south in great speed . BTW , they did not stop to make the turn . It was just one continuous movement including the turn . NO stopping , no slowing down .

Alex Dietrich was flying an F-18, not F-16, when she had her encounter flying a sortie with Cdr. David Fravor.
