Video: A-10 demonstration flight

By General Aviation News Staff · June 26, 2024 · 2 Comments

Fred Johnsen, the force behind the Airailimages YouTube channel and General Aviation News Of Wings & Things columnist, recently posted a video from the 2024 Moses Lake Air Show featuring the A-10 demonstration team.

The video shows the team preparing the blacksnake Thunderbolt II for a practice show. The flight is brief, as the pilot, Major Lindsay Johnson, detected a potential problem and returned the aircraft to the ground. She then dismounts the first A-10, briefs the problem, and quickly climbs aboard the spare A-10 which has already been prepared for flight.

Great teamwork! This was captured in a public setting, but it’s indicative of the teamwork, dedication, and excellence of USAF flight and ground crews every day and everywhere.

Above is says “Curious to know what fellow pilots think.” You don’t want to know what I think. But I did not like it.
