Density altitude calculation added to portable altimeter

By General Aviation News Staff · July 11, 2025 · Leave a Comment

RADIANT Technology has added an automatic computation of Density Altitude to its SafeAlt Portable Turn Coordinator.

The new Density Altitude feature provides pilots with information critical for safe takeoffs, especially at higher altitudes and on hot days, according to company officials. A temperature sensor within the unit is used in conjunction with internally determined pressure altitude, providing Density Altitude, officials explained.

The updated instrument is available in either a black or an orange case.

Price: $99.95. The price point of $99.95 remains in effect until tariff-affected inventory is received. Pricing may change at any time without notice, company officials noted.
