Plane Pull raises money for Make-A-Wish

By General Aviation News Staff · October 9, 2025 · Leave a Comment

Overland Aviation, an FBO at Williston Basin International Airport (KXWA) in North Dakota, recently hosted its inaugural Plane Pull.

Working in partnership with the airport, Sun Country Airlines, and Make-A-Wish North Dakota, the event raised $20,000 for Make-A-Wish.

The Aug. 16, 2025 event kicked off with the first-ever plane pull in Williston, where six teams competed to pull a Boeing 737 flown by Sun Country Airlines 100 feet across the tarmac.

Next was a fly-in movie, “Planes,” in the FBO’s hangar, along with live entertainment, family activities, and treats, according to FBO officials.

“This event was a true example of our aviation community coming together for a cause bigger than ourselves,” said Tanner Overland, president and founder of Overland Aviation. “We’re grateful to work alongside Williston Basin International Airport, Make-A-Wish North Dakota, and Sun Country Airlines to raise funds and awareness for this life-changing mission.”
