Aircraft manufacturer AURA AERO has officially opened its 11,000-sqare-foot facility at Embry‑Riddle Aeronautical University’s Research Park in Daytona Beach, Florida.

The facility will serve as the French company’s U.S. headquarters and first production site.

The initial production line will build the INTEGRAL family of two-seat, aerobatic-capable training aircraft, offered first with a Lycoming piston engine and subsequently in a 100% electric version. It was recently certified by EASA and FAA certification is underway, according to company officials.

In 2028, AURA AERO plans to open a 500,000-square-foot assembly line for its 19-seat ERA, a hybrid-electric regional aircraft.

The new facilities are expected to create more than 1,000 jobs.
