Sheltair opens new FBO at KSRQ

By General Aviation News Staff · December 4, 2025 · Leave a Comment

Sheltair Aviation celebrated the ribbon-cutting of its new FBO at Sarasota Bradenton International Airport (KSRQ) in Florida Nov. 19, 2025.

Set on 24 acres in the airport’s north quadrant, the new facility features a 10,705-square-foot terminal, as well as two hangars totaling 46,000 square feet of aircraft storage and more than 9,000 square feet of office space.

The FBO features private passenger, dedicated VIP, and crew lounges, snooze rooms, and dedicated flight planning and weather areas.

Construction is also underway on a Customs and Border Protection General Aviation Federal Inspection Station (FIS), located immediately adjacent to the Sheltair complex. It is expected to open in Spring 2026.

Future development plans at the site include additional hangars and a 60,000-square-foot MRO facility, according to company officials.
