Combining the DreamLaunch Tour with the 2025 Florida International Airshow was an amazing event, boasts Jamail Larkins, the FAA Ambassador for Aviation & Space Education.
“About 1,000 students learned about aviation careers and how they could take advantage of a pilot, A&P, or avionics class in high school,” he says.
The students also got a chance to ask Jamail questions, as well as win tickets to the Florida International Airshow, “where they saw everyone from Patty Wagstaff, Aaron Deliu, Doug Litton, and Bobby Younkin perform absolute magic in the sky!”

Question of the Day
First some context from Jamail: “During the DreamLaunch presentation, there’s a video of me flying with the Blue Angels in an F/A-18. In my overly ambitious mind, I thought since I pulled 7 Gs in the Eagle it was the same thing as pulling Gs in an F/A-18. It’s not. So I didn’t properly prepare before we started pulling 7 Gs, which was sustained in the F/A-18, versus instantaneous in the Eagle. So, I definitely blacked out!”
The kids wanted to know: “What happened when you blacked out?
His answer: “It’s literally like falling asleep. Your peripheral vision starts to go, and it creeps in, until it’s totally black and you can’t see anything. It felt like I could still hear what was going on, but had no control over my body. Honestly, it’s a crazy sensation.”
