Rusty Eichorn submitted this photo and note: “Executing a grass landing as our pond at Grand Rapids/Itasca County Airport-Gordon Newstrom Field (KGPZ) in Minnesota was frozen for the winter. I touched down just shy of the landing zone that I had marked and came to a stop within my self-prescribed landing zone. This is the third year in a row that I have procrastinated to get it into the airport in time to land on water. From there we put it on a float trailer and brought it to the hangar for the float change over.”

Yeah, it’s the flying OFF the trailer in the Spring that becomes a spectator sport LOL. Did it for many years, Cubs, Maules n a Husky. Living on a lake in Central Florida makes that all a fond memory.
