Dallas-based Thrust Flight, which offers pilot and mechanic training, has opened its Fort Worth campus at Spinks Airport (KFWS). This is the company’s fifth location.
Thrust Flight Fort Worth will offer the school’s Zero Time to Airline curriculum, an accelerated FAA-approved Part 141 training program, along with the Thrust Finish Line program. Students can earn all required certificates and ratings — including private, commercial, multi-engine, CFI and CFII — in as little as 12 months, according to company officials. With additional flight instructor experience, graduates can meet airline hiring minimums in roughly 18 months.
The Spinks campus features Examining Authority, allowing students to complete check rides on-site. Financing options are available to cover tuition and living expenses, company officials noted.
The campus also houses Thrust Institute of Maintenance, which offers a 10-month FAA-approved program that trains students from no experience to licensed Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) technicians.
