The 2026 schedule for National STOL, a nationwide aviation competition series focused on short takeoff and landing performance, has been released, with eight events planned across the United States.

The 2026 season adds Creswell, Oregon, as a new stop, expanding the series and giving more pilots and fans a chance to experience STOL competition in person, according to organizers.

National STOL competitions highlight precision, safety, and pilot skill as competitors push aircraft to their limits by taking off and landing in the shortest possible distance, organizers explain.

“The series also introduces more people to general aviation while showing how exciting this type of flying can be,” officials add.

Each event features multiple competition classes, with pilots completing a series of takeoffs and landings. Winners are determined by the shortest combined distance from start to stop.
