Reservations are now being taken for two Pilot Plus One seminars slated for 2026.
The two-day seminars are education experiences built around a simple truth: Safety is a team sport, said Jolie Lucas, founder.
“The seminars bring together left-seat pilots and right-seat companions for parallel learning, shared insight, and realistic practice, then reunites them to apply what they’ve learned as a crew,” she explained.
The first seminar will be held May 29-30, 2026, at the Experimental Aircraft Association’s Pilot Proficiency Center in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. The second will be held June 12-13 at Creve Coeur Airport in St. Louis.
The program includes simulator sessions and delves into topics such as:
- Aircraft Systems (what matters and why)
- Dynamics of Flight (what the airplane is trying to do)
- Emergency Procedures (recognition, response, communication)
- ATC Communications (what’s said, what’s implied)
- Psychological and Human Factors (stress, workload, decision traps)
- Advanced safety content for pilots, focused on decision-making, risk management, and real-world operations.
Price: $750 per couple.
