Lightspeed Aviation and BRP-Rotax have unveiled a new Rotax-specific audio and Active Noise Reduction (ANR) profile for the Lightspeed Delta Zulu headset, designed to bring engine-tailored audio optimization to the cockpit.
Developed by Lightspeed Aviation, the new Rotax-specific audio and ANR profile is tailored to the acoustic characteristics of select Rotax aircraft engine platforms, according to company officials.
“The result is a more integrated cockpit audio experience designed to support clearer communication and greater cockpit comfort,” officials said.

The Rotax-optimized profile will be available as part of the Rotax Care program for Rotax 912 iS/c, 915 iS/c and 916 iS aircraft engines.
“At BRP-Rotax, we focus on the entire ownership and flight experience, not only the engine itself,” said Marc Becker, Head of Aircraft Business at BRP-Rotax. “This collaboration with Lightspeed Aviation is a smart addition to Rotax Care and brings real value to Rotax-powered pilots using the Lightspeed Delta Zulu — a cockpit audio experience tuned to the sound characteristics of Rotax engines.”
The customized Rotax audio profile is integrated into the Lightspeed Delta Zulu headset settings and counters the engine’s unique sound frequencies and cockpit acoustics to create a quieter environment, Lightspeed officials explained.
“Using the companion Lightspeed App for the premium headset, pilots can toggle between the Rotax-optimized mode and Lightspeed’s Signature ANR profile depending on preference and aircraft configuration,” they added.
“This is the first time a premium aviation headset provides the option to optimize acoustic performance for an engine platform. The Rotax audio profile, only available through the Lightspeed Delta Zulu, represents a new level of integration between aircraft systems and pilot safety and comfort,” said Lightspeed Aviation CEO Heider Lazzarini.
