Jabiru Aircraft and US Sport Planes brought the twin Jabiru J432 to the United States for the first time with its display at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2026.
The Jabiru J432, a twin-engine, four-seat aircraft, first flew in 2013 and has been flying in Australia and South Africa, waiting for the right regulatory category in the U.S. Enter MOSAIC.
Under the expanded LSA framework created through the Modernization of Special Airworthiness Certification (MOSAIC) rule, the J432M is positioned as a factory-built Light Sport Aircraft under Part 22. The Twin is also available to builders as a kit aircraft ready to be assembled and flown.
According to company officials, the plane boasts 125 knots cruise, twin-engine redundancy, and “predictable Jabiru handling that pilots already know and trust.”
“With two J2200 engines, fuel burn is 4 gph per side, making this an extremely economical twin time builder,” officials added.
The J432 shares more than 95% of its components with the existing Jabiru fleet, meaning maintenance infrastructure, spare parts, and service knowledge are in place today, company officials continued.
“The Twin has been waiting for its moment, and that moment is now,” said Scott Severen, President of US Sport Planes.
