Continental Increases Warranty Coverage for Certified and Overhauled Engines

Continental Aerospace Technologies is extending its warranty coverage across its certified avgas engine portfolio.

The warranty on new engines goes from two years or TBO to three years or TBO, while the warranty on rebuilt engines goes from 18 months or TBO to two years or TBO. The warranty on factory overhauled exchange engines goes from one year or 300 hours to two years or TBO.

All certified avgas engine orders shipped after July 20, 2026, include the updated warranty, according to company officials.

The company is also expanding the warranty coverage on its Factory Service Center custom engine overhauls of both Continental and Lycoming engines.

Overhauls completed by Continental Services will include warranty coverage of two years or 450 operating hours, an increase from the previous one year or 300 operating hours.
