A new web marketplace for aircraft rentals and flight instruction has taken off.
Hangar, developed by SquawkForge, brings aircraft and instructor listings together with availability, direct messaging, and booking requests.
Pilots can browse without an account and filter aircraft listings by whether they are offered by a flight school or a private owner. A free account lets users complete a profile, save listings, contact a provider, and manage booking requests, according to company officials.
Owners and instructors can create listings describing their services, rates, and requirements.
The marketplace is at an early stage and currently has limited inventory, company officials said.
“SquawkForge is seeking early participants who want to create accurate aircraft or instructor listings, explore available listings, and provide feedback,” they said.
Pilots remain responsible for confirming qualifications, checkout requirements, and insurance arrangements, company officials added.
