100,000 Sentry ADS-B Receivers Shipped

By General Aviation News Staff · October 22, 2026 · Leave a Comment

uAvionix and Jeppesen ForeFlight are celebrating a milestone: More than 100,000 ForeFlight Sentry portable ADS-B receivers have shipped.

The Sentry line, collaboratively developed and manufactured by uAvionix for ForeFlight, integrates ADS-B traffic and subscription-free weather with GPS, carbon monoxide (CO) monitoring, and attitude heading reference systems (AHRS) for ForeFlight Synthetic Vision.

Officials with both companies note that the real significance of 100,000 Sentry receivers isn’t the number — it’s what those receivers have done in the cockpit and how they have elevated safety.

According to company officials, pilots have credited the receivers with delivering critical alerts during potential traffic conflicts, sudden weather deteriorations, and in-flight carbon monoxide leaks. The devices have also served as backup attitude indicators during cockpit vacuum pump and avionics failures.

“100,000 Sentry receivers is an incredible manufacturing milestone, but what makes it meaningful are the stories behind those units,” said Shane Woodson, VP Crewed Aviation, at uAvionix. “We’re proud to work alongside Jeppesen ForeFlight to build a product pilots depend on — and especially proud when pilots tell us how a CO warning, traffic alert, weather information, or backup attitude capability helped them safely manage a difficult situation.”

The product line includes the compact Sentry Mini and the flagship Sentry Plus, which features dual-band ADS-B reception, GPS, carbon monoxide monitoring, an integrated OLED display, and more than 20 hours of battery life.
