Lightspeed Delta Zulu Adds Rotax ANR Audio Profile

By General Aviation News Staff · October 27, 2026 · Leave a Comment

Lightspeed Aviation has released a free firmware update introducing an active noise reduction (ANR) and audio profile tailored for Rotax aircraft engines to its Delta Zulu headset line.

According to company officials, the update is tailored to the acoustic characteristics of select Rotax aircraft engine platforms to improve speech clarity and cockpit comfort. Delta Zulu owners can install the firmware through the Lightspeed App and toggle between the standard Lightspeed ANR profile and the dedicated Rotax setting.

The Delta Zulu platform also features built-in carbon monoxide monitoring with audible and visual alerts, personalized hearing equalization, and interchangeable battery compartments compatible with rechargeable lithium-ion or AA batteries.
