Radiant Unveils Redesigned CO Detector

By General Aviation News Staff · October 29, 2026 · Leave a Comment

CO-Pocket for 2027 from Radiant Instruments adds histograph, color screen, and factory calibrations.

Radiant Instruments has introduced the 2027 version of its CO-Pocket Carbon Monoxide Detector, featuring a full-color history display, faster response times, and individual factory calibration.

According to company officials, the redesigned unit replaces the previous monochrome display with a color screen that shows real-time carbon monoxide levels, a 90-minute historical graph, and peak concentration readings since power-on. In company testing, the unit responded to carbon monoxide gas in under five seconds and automatically adjusted for temperature variations using factory-calibrated settings, company officials noted.

The pocket-sized device features an updated case combining a transparent top with a nylon-carbon fiber base, a front power slide switch, and a rechargeable battery providing 48 hours of continuous operation.

“I wanted an instrument that tells me what’s going on when I glance at it,” said James Wiebe, Radiant’s designer and CEO. “If I’m busy flying, I still want to know whether I missed a high CO reading, and I can see that on the graph history.”

The CO-Pocket is currently shipping and available through Aircraft Spruce for $79.95 through Nov. 30, 2026, after which the price increases to $99.95 on Dec. 1, 2026.
