AERO 2027 Expands Helicopter and Rotary-Wing Showcase

By General Aviation News Staff · October 30, 2026 · Leave a Comment

AERO 2027, the premiere general aviation show in Europe, will expand its showcase of rotary-wing aircraft across general, executive, and utility aviation sectors April 14-17, 2027, in Friedrichshafen, Germany.

Helicopters will be featured across three connected exhibition areas, integrating corporate rotary aircraft alongside turboprops and business jets in the Business Aviation Show Hub. Early participants include Bell, Robinson Helicopter Company, Guimbal, DRF Luftrettung, and an expanded pavilion organized by the German Helicopter Association (DHV).

“With some 50 business aircraft showcased in 2026, it became clear that this section of the show was not only welcomed, but that corporate helicopters are a complementary and highly valued part of executive aviation,” said Tobias Bretzel, AERO show director. “This is a logical extension for helicopter OEMs, operators, and owners, many of whom are already closely involved in fixed-wing operations.”

According to event organizers, specialized spaces have been arranged for rotary-wing manufacturers, including an expanded presence for Bell and Robinson Helicopter Company. Ultralight helicopters and gyrocopters will also be featured alongside light-sport aircraft, while the event’s conference schedule will incorporate panel discussions covering both conventional rotorcraft and electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) platforms.
