Schochman Aviation has partnered with SafeSky to integrate real-time aggregated airspace traffic directly into the Schochman electronic flight instrument system (EFIS).
Under the agreement, SafeSky traffic data merges in real time with information from the cockpit’s onboard ADS-B receiver. According to company officials, the system aggregates more than 30 sources — including FLARM, Open Glider Network (OGN), FANET, ADS-L, and ground stations across Europe — allowing pilots to detect gliders, microlights, paragliders, helicopters, and drones that do not transmit ADS-B signals.
Pilots can select between viewing ADS-B, SafeSky, or combined data modes. When operating in combined mode, the EFIS deduplicates reporting sources and prioritizes direct radio reception. Targets display across the moving map, synthetic vision displays, a threat-highlighting compass overlay, and a dedicated traffic page with a 60-second track projection. Direct ADS-B targets render in green, while SafeSky network targets appear in cyan.

“SafeSky was founded by pilots to create a safer sky, together,” said Tristan Fily, CEO of SafeSky. “Innovative cockpit solutions like Schochman’s bring SafeSky traffic information to more pilots, and that is exactly what our network is for. Our goal is to remove every barrier to adoption, so Schochman pilots benefit from the SafeSky network from the moment they switch on.”
The system also allows equipped aircraft to transmit a position beacon once per second, enabling visibility across the SafeSky network without requiring ADS-B Out hardware. The capability is scheduled for release in late 2026, with Schochman customers receiving access for an initial 24-month period without a separate account or subscription.
