AéroRun takes off: 1,200 participants race in support of aviation
Aviation Sans Frontières, a Paris-based NGO using aircraft and volunteers to support humanitarian needs around the world, held its first AéroRun solidarity event, a race around the runways of the airport.

New terminal in the works at KFFT
A $1 million FAA grant will be used to build a new terminal at Capital City Airport (KFFT), which will meet the needs of a variety of users, including general aviation pilots, businesses, state officials, and emergency responders, according to state aviation officials.

DPE numbers grow
During the third annual Flight School Association of North America (FSANA) DPE Symposium held in October 2024, FAA officials reported that there are now 100 more Designated Pilot Examiners in the United States, compared to a year ago.
