‘Liberty Belle’ destroyed in crash

The B-17 Liberty Belle owned by the Liberty Foundation crashed in a field southeast of the Aurora, Illinois, Municipal Airport Monday morning at around 9:30 CDT, according to a report at EAA.org. All seven people on-board the non-revenue flight escaped, but the airplane caught fire and was destroyed. Read the full EAA report here.
