Very dark skies and nasty thunderstorms slowly approached from the west. On CTAF, I heard a flight of Cubs slowly approached from the southeast. We all landed before the storm got here and I learned that they were trying to get further west that day, but the weather wouldn’t allow that. We parked them all at my place (surrounding the world’s oldest Cherokee 235). They spent the night at my place and we told stories and got to know each other. The next morning, they continued their journey. Most of us still keep in touch years later! To new friends!”
