The Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum recently inducted five more honorees into the Oregon Aviation Hall of Honor: General Staryl C. Austin, Jr., Colonel Lawrence E. Campbell. Jr., Colonel James Church, Major General Chester E. McCarty and Nevilles E. “Jim” Walker.
Wings Club donates $50,000 to CAN
The Wings Club recently donated $50,000 to Corporate Angel Network, the national public charity that arranges free flights to treatment for cancer patients by using empty seats on business aircraft. The donation is in recognition of CAN’s 25 years of service, according to John Slattery, president of the Wings Club.
Raisbeck receives Pathfinder Award

Liberty closes debt financing round
Liberty Aerospace, Inc., which manufactures the Liberty XL-2, recently closed a major debt financing that will allow the company to expand its production capacity significantly, according to Keith Markley, president. The financing was arranged by Kuwait Finance House in Bahrain, which manages Liberty’s major shareholder, Fernas Europe slf.
Cessna sold more than $1B at NBAA
Cessna is reporting that it sold 178 aircraft, valued at more than $1 billion, at the National Business Aviation Association convention last month. During the three-day event, Cessna took orders for 101 Citations, 59 Caravans, 13 single-engine pistons and five SkyCatchers.
