FAA rescinds controversial flight training policy

The FAA has published a Notice of Policy in the Federal Register confirming that letters of deviation authority (LODAs) are no longer required for most flight training in experimental aircraft where the use of the aircraft is not being compensated.

Minneapolis area GA airport operations top 324,000 in 2022

While total operations for all six GA airports were down about 3% compared to the 352,195 total operations in 2021, three of the airports — St. Paul Downtown Airport (KSTP), Crystal Airport (KMIC) in northwest Minneapolis and Airlake Airport (KLVN) in Lakeville — saw increases in their operations, according to MAC officials.
