FAA Washington Center has issued a Letter to Airmen, titled “Facility Identification and Radio/Interphone Message Format,” modifying the facility’s identification to “Wash Center” instead of “Washington Center.” The change is an attempt to reduce “excess verbiage” and expedite traffic, FAA officials say.
