Tom Wathen has opened a new aviation high school at Flabob Airport in Southern California. Wathen Aviation High School held its first classes Sept. 6, with 25 students. The new program features academic subjects relating to aviation, as well as hands-on experience in aircraft construction and maintenance.
Symphony raises $3.3 million

Tiger to offer airbags
Tiger Aircraft’s AG-5B 2006 models will have AmSafe Aviation Inflatable Restraints as standard equipment for pilot and co-pilot seats and as an option for rear seats. Certification of the air bags is expected to be complete by the end of the year.

In the July 22 issue, the headline read Lycoming CAMshaft recall. Uh, a slight….er, not typo…more like “brain fade.” Come on, guys, I expect this sort of gaffe by general media, not you.
