Foot to Flight campaign introduces Chicago kids to aviation

A new grant from the Foot Locker Foundation will provide kids from the Chicago Housing Authority the chance to learn about aviation and aerospace careers, with some even getting the chance to train for their private pilot certificate for free.

New name for Carolina Aviation Museum

The museum, which will reopen in 2023 at Charlotte-Douglas International Airport, will be renamed in honor of Captain Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger, the captain of the “Miracle on the Hudson” flight.

Plane crashes after pilot misunderstands CFI’s instructions

The pilot receiving instruction’s misunderstanding of the flight instructor’s instruction and the pilot’s and the instructor’s insufficient use of rudder while adding power to the operating engine, which resulted in the airplane rolling left and the wing striking the ground. Contributing to the accident was the flight instructor’s delayed remedial action.
