Girls in Aviation Day
Girls between the ages of 8 and 17 participated in more than 120 events hosted by WAI chapters and corporate members. The events took place at airports, FBOs, museums, and hangars in 19 countries across the U.S., Canada, Europe, Africa, and Asia.
An international event, Girls in Aviation Day was celebrated not just in the United States, but in 17 other countries across North and Central America and Australia, as well as countries in Africa, Asia, and Europe.
More than 5,000 participants from nearly 35 countries are enrolled in the virtual event that will be delivered through the new Aviation for Girls App.
The app will have new content throughout the year on aviation careers, virtual museum tours, hands-on activities, and much more.
A virtual experience will be delivered through a new Aviation for Girls app that is free and available Sept. 26.
“You only have to attend a Girls in Aviation Day event to know that this is making a difference.”
