Led by volunteers with the Recreational Aviation Foundation, 17CL has already been improved, with encroaching vegetation removed, the 900-foot airstrip graded, and amenities added, including a picnic table and grill.

FAA renews efforts to update private airport database
In this second round of efforts, the FAA is reaching out to private use airports for which they have not gotten updated information for more than 10 years. The agency has set a deadline of Jan. 20, 2022, to collect the information.
A month at Ryan Field
Glenn Brasch spent a month at Montana’s Ryan Field as the camp host. While he was there, he took lots of photos of the airfield, pilots, campers, and a work party that is helping transform the field, which is owned by the Recreational Aviation Foundation.
