Nominations open for outstanding women in Oklahoma aviation
Nominations must be submitted by Nov. 18, 2022. The awards will be presented during Oklahoma Women in Aviation and Aerospace Day Dec. 9.
Girls in Aviation Day 2022 inspires more than 16,000 around the globe
Girls between the ages of 8 and 17 participated in more than 120 events hosted by WAI chapters and corporate members. The events took place at airports, FBOs, museums, and hangars in 19 countries across the U.S., Canada, Europe, Africa, and Asia.
Grants fuel Girls in Aviation Day activities
The eighth annual Girls in Aviation Day will be held Sept. 24, 2022, with events planned by Women in Aviation chapters around the world.

For the last 15 years, women have come together at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh for WomenVenture, which gives women in aviation a place to network at the annual show. One of the highlights each year is the annual group photo. In 2022, more than 1,000 women gathered in Boeing Plaza for the group photo, according to officials with Women in Aviation.
